To be fair before you read this review you should know that I knew the author and I was a member of WITS (Women in Technology and Science) who commissioned the book.

This book about all the female Irish Scientist that History forgot. At a time when most women were not educated to a second level standard, they fought against the odds and helped shape the modern world. It was a sequel to Star, Shells and Bluebells.

I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the History of Science and of course to female scientists in general.
