twilightshelf 's review for:
Lord of the Flies
by William Golding
I was forced to read this book for GCSE English literature (exams are this year!?) and didn't originally hear very good things about it, however, when I actually got around to reading it I enjoyed it. It's a bit slow, but it has some really cool context and overall a good storyline.
I gave it three stars mainly because five stars are reserved for my absolute favourites of all time and four stars are reserved for the books I really like and would read again... this isn't a favourite, but I would definitely recommend for everyone to read this book at least once.
Edit: Never done an edit before... GCSEs were cancelled but I still think this was a worthwhile read, with or without the ridiculously frantic exams which usually occur at the end of year 11 :)
