myntop 's review for:
Everything for Her
by Alexa Riley
I'm kind of torn on this book... I loved it, but I feel like I shouldn't have loved it...if that makes any sense. What should have been scary because of the obsessive and controlling behavior of the male MC, was actually a little endearing and came off as romantic.
Oz observes Mallory when she's younger and he decides to wait until she's older to pursue her, but that doesn't stop him from keeping an eye on her until he feels the time is right. I appreciate the fact that he didn't want to chase after someone still in high school while he was in college. But the obsession was a bit much at times. Some of the jealous and controlling behavior did rub me the wrong way, but like Mallory, his sweet talk would do me in.
I particularly enjoyed how there were several epilogues showing us where the characters ended up, though I have to admit confusion since this says book 1 of a series. Perhaps we'll get to see Paige's story too? I would love to see what happens with her and Captain!
