Liv works for a jerk named Royce. She accidentally drops a $1000 cupcake on Gretchen, who is Mack’s date. Liv is in trouble with Royce. She is supposed to meet him in his office after a while and once she gets to the office she notices an encounter between a young woman named Jessica and Royce. Royce sexually assaults Jessica and Liv steps in and wants to expose Royce for who he really is. Jessica doesn’t want to come forward. This leads to Liv being fired. Mack checks on Liv after he is dumped by Gretchen and finds out Liv was fired. Mack offers Liv a job. When Mack finds out what Royce did, he decides to join Liv in bringing down Royce and enlists the Bromance Bookclub for help. Will there be sparks between Mack and Liv?
I felt like there wasn’t much of the bookclub in this one. Also, I didn’t feel like there was as much romance in this and it moreover focused on the #metoo movement. It is still good and I look forward to more in this series.
