The Villain Edit
by Laurie Devore
this book kinda knocked my socks off tbh. i don’t like the bachelor, nor do i watch it, but this was utterly unputdownable.
i went into this thinking that jac was going to be blindsided and unfairly saddled with the villain title, but she really truly acted like a villain at points — not because she’s a bad person, but because she’s human.
most of the other characters on the show were just that: characters. i found myself siding with them at times because i was being sucked into the fake caricatures they portrayed themselves to be. but every single person in this book was a villain at one point or another, just like you and i and everyone else are a villain in some story or another depending on how it’s told.
this was geniusly written (is that a word?) and i will def read more from this author in the future.
