Set in upstate New York and alternating between 1982 & 2017, this story focuses on the mysterious disappearance of Vivian Delaney from her night shift at the Sun Down Motel. In present day, her niece Carly is trying to figure out what happened, but visiting the town from where her aunt vanished.⁣

Billed as a thrilled ghost story, it is far outside my usual genres. That said... I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is definitely a paranormal aspect and plenty of creepy moments, but it is not nearly as scary as I anticipated, just very suspenseful. The characters are well-developed and the mystery is gripping. I think it would make a fantastic movie.⁣ I'd recommend to just about anyone!
