Heartstopper Volume 4
by Alice Oseman
This volume was a little different than the other three as it focused more on mental health and eating disorders, while the first three were mostly fluffy feel good books. I think it made this story even better. It's always good for topics like this to be included in books, and I think it was handled in good way (BUT I don't have anorexia, so I don't speak from experience and therefore can't tell you if it's good representation or not). There was a lot of information about eating disorders and mental health, so even people who never deal with this still learned more about it.
Multiple times I got tears in my eyes reading this volume.
I can't wait for volume 5! I'm curious to see what happens next and sad it will be the last one. I'm definitely planning on reading the author's other books too, and 100% recommending this series.
Today at school I was reading a couple pages, and when a teacher asked about it, a classmate said that they also followed these graphic novels and told our teacher that the books were amazing, and I couldn't agree more!
