Absolutely stressful.

I started this book having read the blurb and nothing else. I had no idea what to expect other than some kind of plot twist. The first third of the book felt eerie - the plot twist was coming and I had no clue as to what it might be.
When the plot twist hit, I was amazed and happy with what it turned out to be - and maybe it's just me but it was such a unique story line that I would never have guessed what was coming in a million years. But maybe that's just me - you may well see it all coming. I, for one, definitely did not.

The narrative voice for this novel is unusual, but in a good way. Sometimes I found myself rereading a sentence 2 or 3 times, before I could work out what she was on about. And although everything written was interesting, I found myself frequently bored with how long it took the author to get to the point. So the narrative has its fair share of good and bad points.

The storyline was unlike any other I've read. So very interesting in that way. I learnt a lot. They were things I didn't want to know, but I should know.

Overall: a good story, interesting plot and twist, certainly educational but at times a little wearing to the mind.
