“Mijn lieve gunsteling” is Marieke Lucas Rijneveld’s second book. Their first, “De avond is ongemak” (The Discomfort of Evening) won the 2020 Booker Prize. They are the first Dutch and youngest winner ever, so that obviously piqued my interest.
