gracew 's review for:
The Alchemyst
by Michael Scott
This book hits on pretty much all of my least favorite tropes: immortals who have met every famous person in history, training that should take years taking seconds, special twins with super rare magics they don't know about, characters who seem to have no depth, jokes that aren't funny, and so many more that I've literally lots count. I struggle to find anything good to say about this piece. It was so busy and yet nothing actually happened? For a book as long as it is very little actually happens. It's all lead up to the next book because literally nothing gets resolved in this one. I am disappointed on so many levels.
