Over the Edge by Marja Graham
4.0

Marja Graham’s prose is absolutely stunning, with every sentence rafted with such care that you feel every emotion, every stolen glance, every unspoken word. She has a way of showing rather than telling that makes the story immersive and deeply felt. Her writing? Perfection.

That being said, the pacing dragged. While I loved the premise—a former musician turned lawyer clashing with a pop star hiding in plain sight—the execution didn’t quite live up to the promise. It took forever for anything significant to happen, and I found myself wishing things would pick up sooner. I wanted more movement, more momentum, especially with such an emotional, high stakes setup.

Garrett and Evelyn had a beautiful connection, and their slow burn, friends to lovers romance had some really touching moments. I just wish the story matched the intensity of their emotions a little better. It’s a book that could have been a five star read if the pacing had been tighter.

If you love gorgeous writing, an interesting and unique premise, and characters with depth, Over The Edge is worth the read—just be prepared for a slower journey to get there.
