I'm quite unobservant and I didn't notice this is the 3rd book in a series. I was lucky because it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone even if I think I missed part of the world building.
It's a fast paced, highly entertaining dystopia set in a world where a dragon apocalypse happened.
There were people called "smoke eater" who were able to fight dragons but they are outlawed and the military are fighting the dragons.
That said I had a lot of fun as there's plenty of humour and the plot never drags. I loved Guiellermo and the cast of characters as they are interesting and well thought.
The world building is highly original and I want to read the previous stories to understand how the dragon apocalypse happened.
The author is an excellent storyteller and I already bought other books he wrote.
Highly recommended.
