This is my second B.K. Borison book and it did not disapoint.  Borison has such a way with words.  Her books are so soft and delicate even when the topics aren't. Her writing has all of this beautiful imagery that heightens everything between the characters.  I actually took over a year to read this after reading Lovelight Farms because I was scared it wouldn't compare.  Absolutely silly of me.
There was absolutely nothing I would change about the book.  The quirky smalltown charm.  The MMC, Beckett, is perfect.  Kind and caring.  The FMC, Evie, is strong and thoughtful. As someone who also hates loud places/noises like Beckett, it touched my heart a certain way when Evie gave him earplugs. The way Beckett quietly lets Evie find her happy and just lets her be. Doesn't push her, just lets her find it for herself.  So good.  Cannot wait to read the next book!
