The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
4.0

In my opinion, this book was about Isabel and Vianne. I could relate to the book in regards to the sister dynamic. I found myself feeling like I was there living through those moments with them. The bravery that both sisters showed was so indescribable to me that I am having trouble articulating how I feel. Mulitple times throughout the book I wanted to burst into tears. The physical pain that Isabel went through when german shoulders wanted to know about the Nightingale but they didn't know it was her. The camps...

The bravery her father took by sacrificing his life for his daughters after living a life of regret after their mother died. Vianne risking her life and her body to save children so they would live full lives. This book is where heroes were born.

It was so much pain and joy equally put into a book. It was a perfect balance of triumph and sorrow. The ending definitely puts me over the edge and I was in tears.
