Laini Taylor's writing is AMAZING. Like seriously beautiful. I loved the setting, I've wanted to go to Prague for a really long time and now I want to go even more. The characters were great and the whole plot/story was very unique and kept me hooked the entire time. I went into the book knowing close to nothing about what the book was actually about. Within the first three pages I was addicted. It felt like such a unique idea and that feeling never changed throughout the entire story. Everything was so vivid, I had no trouble picturing anything she was trying to say. I would actually give this give this book closer to a 4.5 or 4.75. The only reason I didn't give this book five stars if because the romantic relationship in this book moved WAAAAAY to quick for my taste. It happened so fast and really irritated me (though I could understand why people would disagree with me due to the circumstances...not gonna go there due to spoilers). The last few chapters of this book were fan-freaking-tastic. So much was revealed and I new something was going to happen, but not that. Not in the way I thought. When the mystery surrounding Karou's past was finally revealed I was sooo shocked. So great. I cried. A lot. I haven't cried while reading a book in a long time. I think it was for Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I will definitely be continuing on with the trilogy. SO GOOD. Highly recommend.
