The narrative is fascinating and consistently holds your attention. The free form way that the author wrote the narrator (a mountain lion) feels truly authentic at times. I did struggle with one scene not feeling realistic, but overall I think we truly get a look at what an animal might be thinking, if that animal had grown up watching and learning from people at a distance. The ending is perfect.
