I think if I had read this as a kid I would have loved it. As an adult, I enjoyed it. It's a very well-crafted mystery, and you can see its influence on other mysteries that have been written afterward. I will say that on audio some of the homonyms don't come across as well as they do on the written page, but other than that, it's still solid.
