Simpson’s writing is always good, and this is intensely vulnerable and quite moving, at points. But the subject matter mostly on difficulties forming relationships with people generally socialized differently than her, and her unpacking it, isn’t as interesting to me as her other works, so this was something that I didn’t connect with much, though I can appreciate aspects of it.
