All the Bad Apples by Moïra Fowley-Doyle

this is an important book. a magical, special, mystical, important book.

i want this book to be read in schools, for required reading. it's the perfect amount of anger, rage, and magic that i think could appeal to a class for discussion. there are bountiful amounts of subtext to examine; twists to keep a reader interested, viewpoints brought up to make one think, the use of flowery writing to make one unsure what to believe. this book... this book could be a catalyst.

moïra fowley-doyle created a family that i believed in, rooted for, and prayed that they could get to the bottom of the mystery. there was something so satisfying about the ending, while also getting me choked up about the message sent, rather blatantly.

some may say the social justice commentary of this story is more obvious than explored; stated, not incorporated into the story. but sometimes that's needed. sometimes we need those messages to be accessible.

that's why i think this could be wonderful in a classroom literature discussion group setting. so many ideas laid out for someone and they could break it down together, debate amongst each other, relate where they can.

god damn, this book was amazing. which, i mean, i loved [b:Spellbook of the Lost and Found|30079439|Spellbook of the Lost and Found|Moïra Fowley-Doyle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1492078908l/30079439._SX50_.jpg|50499449] so much. and this did not disappoint at all.
