I was so worried that I would HATE this book and it would ruin Princess Bride for me... but it did not AT ALL. All the wit, humor, and adventure that is in the movie, is in the book. I know the book came first, but sometimes you see a movie, love it, then you don't want to read the book and have it sour the movie. This was just more of the wonderful-ness that is PRINCESS BRIDE. I actually gave it just 4 and half stars because the footnotes started to really irk me. They were fine for a while, then they got ridiculous. Other than that, I highly recommend this book.
