Oh my gosh. Y'all. This book was great.

I loved the finale to the Spotless series. It follows Island Chaptal after the events of third book (if you haven't read it, [b:Crystal Whisperer|27504442|Crystal Whisperer (Spotless, #3)|Camilla Monk|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1459329321s/27504442.jpg|47544337]here is some information). She's disoriented, in new surroundings, and best of all, she doesn't remember anything about her life before the tragic accident at the end of the third book.

This book was filled with emotion. From the beginning, we're treated to heart wrenching details. I could tell Island felt lost and I connected to her--to the life she feels has been stolen and to her attempts at reconstructing the pieces. I will say that the tone of this book is a lot different than Camilla Monk's usually fanfare. However, that doesn't mean it didn't have its funny moments.

I felt myself laugh and cry with this finale and really, that's all I could ever ask for. Nice job, Monk.
