General Description: Anna and Liam took advantage of some married student housing in college. However, when Anna thought the divorce was final, she finds out that Liam is one of the heirs to a massive inheritance related to a large grocery store chain. One of the aspects of Liam's inheritance is he must be married for five years. Liam's youngest sibling (and only sister) is getting married and it's time for his wife to make an appearance. Can Anna and Liam convince the family of their marriage, while navigating the relationship they are forming during this ploy?
The goods:
- Anna is such a fun FMC, even if she was a bit misguided.
- The premise reminds me of a reality TV show and I ate up every bit of it.
- The little cousins you meet and see Anna/Liam interact with were a sweet touch to an overall lighthearted book.
- I feel like the book wrapped up extremely nicely and the character progressions made sense, across the main and side characters.
The loss of a star:
- While I clearly love reality TV-like books, this book was a bit over the top and cringy at points, where I was taken out of the book and had to physically roll my eyes. I don't typically have this problem with books, but this one, it was laid on a bit too thick.
Overall, if you like reality TV like shows, this is a great book to pick up if you'd rather read about a Kardashian like family instead of watching one.
