the stories in this book were pretty impenetrable, with needlessly flowery language and incomprehensible plots. overall, it gave off the tone of being incredibly pretentious and more concerned with sounding complex than actually telling a good story. there were a few good ones in here, but overall this book fell completely flat for me.
