I really don't know where to start. It was perfect. I couldn't put it down but I didn't want it to end, so I forced myself to put it down, but I really couldn't put it down.
Nora and Charlie are wonderfully written and developed characters, and their interactions are just perfect. Libby, Nora's younger sister, is one of the best supporting characters I've read in a while, and I was fully invested in her story too, though nothing else going on ever felt distracting from the romance, or vice versa. It all fits together. Honestly, besides being a fan of books, I don’t really have much in common with any of the characters, but that literally did not matter in how much I cared about them or how much I was affected by what happened to them.
It's all together one grand story about love, about being there for each other, about learning what others need, learning what you need, learning to let yourself have it. It's a "I'm realizing you’re not who I thought you were, they’re not who I thought they were, I’m not who I thought I am,” and figuring out what to do with that. It’s never the right time, until it is, it’s never the right person, until it is, it’s never the right ending, until it is, it’s never the right way to fix things, until it is. Emily Henry has masterfully crafted a story that picks you up and spins you around and then in the end, completely settles you.
Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the e-ARC! My opinions and reviews are always entirely my own.
