I was not excited for this book considering the age gap between Daisy and Ryke, but it was an amazing book which I was not expecting! Ryke was so protective, caring and worried about Daisy during the book and he did everything to keep her safe. When he carried Daisy to the hospital after she got knocked out during the Paris riots was amazing as its when I realised he loved her as no other man would have done that for her. I am so excited to read the rest of their story, and eventually their kids stories too. Also when Daisy's friends wanted her to use a sex toy in front of them after Lily's addiction was leaked killed me, Daisy was so young and did not deserve that at all.

Quotes:
- “Freedom doesn’t come with age. It doesn’t magically appear when you’re a legal adult. It comes when you stand up for what you believe in.”
- “You’re a hothouse flower,” I tell her. “You can’t grow under natural conditions. You need adventure. And security and love in order to stay alive.”
- “You’re my favorite four-letter word.”
- “How much did it hurt?” “Did what hurt?” “Watching her with other guys." “It felt like someone was drowning me in fucking salt water and lighting me on fire.”
- “I love you, Dais, because you’re the wildest fucking girl with the biggest fucking heart. And without you in my life”—he shakes his head like it’s an inconceivable picture—“I’d be the unhappiest fucking guy.”
- “Big bad wolf, are you going to eat me?" You're a dirty girl, Calloway. My gaze drops to her mouth. "Until you fucking scream.”
- “I am very, very attracted to you." The corner of his lips rise. "Funny, I'm also attracted to you. What are we going to do about that?" "Make love and make babies.”
- “I’ve been sleeping in the same bed as her. I’ve been taking care of her. She’s mine. She feels like she belongs to me. I don’t want to share her with any other fucking guy. And I don’t want to be with any other fucking girl.”
- “He carried you,' Janet says, a hand to her chest, like that night was emotional, even for her. 'You were in his arms when he reached the hospital doors. He arrived about ten minutes before anyone else from the riot.”
- “You don’t need to replace me. You can have me, sweetheart.”
