Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh
3.0

This is the second book I've read from the Eddie Flynn series and I really enjoyed it, but I liked the previous one in the series more. Overall, I feel like Cavanagh's books really lack editing, which makes his books a bit amateurish. His chapter endings are weak, there were several spots where consecutive paragraphs contained almost identical sentences (in short: he's repetitive) and both books had errors (both grammatical and relating to story details) that editing should have caught. He should also have more faith that his readers are not complete idiots, as he sometimes tends to explain really obvious things that the reader should have already understood from what happened.

This man could be one of the best mystery-thriller writer out there if he would just refine his writing because the plots of both books were stunning and everything you'd want from a good, fast-paced entertaining thriller.
