Filthy Rich
by Raine Miller

ARC received from author for an honest review
Ethan who??? There is another Blackstone in town and he has left Ethan in his wake.
From the first word to the last, I thoroughly enjoyed Filthy Rich.
Caleb Blackstone - sigh, what a guy! From billionaire playboy (sorta kinda) to being completely smitten at one glance. I loved that for once it was not the girl in insta-love with the guy. Caleb falls fast for interior designer Brooke, and though she is also smitten, she is the one to slow things down.
I love love love the destinations in this book, from downtown Boston to the quieter life on Blackstone Island, I could smell the sea air, feel the vibe of downtown Boston.
I loved Brooke's friends and family - especially her work colleague Eduardo. He's a scream!
Caleb and Brooke have some hurdles to overcome to get to their HEA, but even with these, Filthy Rich is a relatively angst free story. Their relationship is like the little engine that could - I think I can I think I can - until they get to their happy.
For me though, at times the conversation felt a little bit stilted, the jump between having contracted words and not in the same sentence sometimes make things feel clunky. I am not sure if it was the trying to get Brooke's british-ness to come through or what it was.
There are some great secondary characters that I really hope we get more of in the future, especially Caleb's brothers and sisters.
I can't wait to see what Ms Miller brings us next.
