These two honestly had the funniest meet cute I have read in awhile. The squirrel, the screaming, I was cracking up the whole time.

Lizzy and Brodie have been neighbors for awhile, while both attending the same college. They have avoided each other for some reason until the squirrel fiasco. At that point, it was Lizzy's mission to get to know the broody Brodie and break down his walls. 

There's a bit of stalkerish behavior from Lizzy and I loved that for her. She watches for Brodie so she can run into him and find an excuse to hang out with each other. Brodie slowly starts to open up and things go from friends to something more. This whole book spans over about a weeks time so it's fast paced on the timeline but slow on plot... If that makes sense 🤣 
 
My biggest ick was that these people were mid 20's, Brodie about to graduate college and they were so immature. I understand immaturity, I'm immature as they come sometimes, but the monologue and inner monologue seemed to be coming from a middle/high school kid instead of a grown adult, it was just cringy for me.
