The Kite Runner
by Khaled Hosseini
The atrocities of man is evident in this book. The story of two young boys was indescribable. Amir and Hassan looked at life two different ways and survived unmentionable terror. Most interesting themes I found in this book was that religion and the simple things leads to a healthy and full life.
Hassan’s character I found most profound. How can someone experience so much adversity and not become bitter. Not get angry or upset. After all that Amir did to him and allowed to happen to him, Hassan did not show anger toward him.
The reunion of Hassan’s son and Amir was tragic and beautiful. Just as imagining a grown man become a kite runner once again.
