I read Lord of the Rings shortly after the seeing the first movie. I get crapped on for how I read them all the time. I tried to start the Fellowship of the Ring but I just couldn't get into it. So I read Two Towers first. Then I read the third book and then I went back and read this one. You kind of have to treat all three of the books as one giant book. I had a hard time with this one because there is just so much world building that my brain turned off and could not read it. This weird reading order did work for me though and I did enjoy reading this one last. Chaotic I know. I very much enjoyed reading this series as a hole the books are so well thought out and flow so magnificently.
