Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Omnibus by Ryan Ferrier, James Tynion IV
4.0

The Ninja Turtles will always be a big part of my life. I grew up with them Afterall!

Batman will always be as well.

Putting them together? This is perfecto!

Well not perfect but an exciting combo. James Tynion crafts a pretty fun 3 parter to his trilogy here. We have the turtles start their adventure stuck in Gotham. This leads Batman to find the turtles and almost guide them and befriend them to stop Shredder from taking over Gotham. It's the best part of the book for me, since James really gets the voices down for almost every single character.

The second part isn't as good but still really fun. This time we have Batman stuck in the Turtle's world. This has Bane as the main baddie and while it's fun that the turtles dish out the snarky remarks to Bane, this one just doesn't have the same great pacing and character moments as the first, but I do love Damien and Ralph's moments.

Part 3 is basically a multiverse, combine Batman and Turtles together into one big universe. It's crazy weird at first, even bringing in the original TMNT characters (Black and White comic version baby!) that result in some really fun moments but the pacing and villains are the least interesting part of this one.

Overall not a perfect collection but at worst, fun, at best, SUPER fun. And sometimes I just wanna sit back and chill and read some fun fucking comics and smile. This delivered there. A 3.5 I'll bump it to a 4 here.
