Wolf Tamer is a paranormal romance by Yumoyori Wilson. Wolf Tamer is the first book in the Claiming my pack series and it is also the first book I have had the pleasure to read by author Yumoyori Wilson. Wolf shifters is something that my readings tastes go in phases with. Sometimes I love books featuring shifters and sometimes I burn out on the trope. At the moment, I am really into shifter paranormal romances. So when I saw a new paranormal romance that was a start to a series that intrigued me, I jumped all over it. And I have to say, I really enjoyed Wolf Tamer.

I love that our main character, Harper can interact with different breeds of wolf. I actually really loved that the author took the time to distinguish and differentiate between different breeds. It gave me the chance to see different personality types come out with the different characters. It was a cool touch to the story that I think added a lot of character depth and development. We saw the most of Ian, but we did get to see some of the other shifters. I loved Ian, but I am really hoping that we get to see a lot more of them in the next book. (I think we will!)

I had a love/ dislike relationship with Harper. In Wolf Tamer we get to see glimpses of Harper at different stages in her life. I liked Adult Harper but I didn't love the younger voices we saw. It seemed like she still remained pretty naive throughout a lot of the story. She eventually grew on me, but she did have quite a bit of growing up to do in a large chunk of Wolf Tamer. I think this is something that won't be an issue in future novels, but it was something I had to power through in this one. 

I can't wait to see where this series is going to take us. Wolf Tamer ended on a pretty big cliffhanger, but I really liked the foundation that was laid with this story. I think we are going to get to know all of the characters better in the second book, and I think the second book has a ton of promise to really pick things up and expand on what looks like it will be a great series! I am excited for more.
