Abby Jimenez always does such a great job of balancing humor and heaviness in her books, and Yours Truly is a prime example of this. Bri and Jacob work in the ER together, and while Jacob immediately thinks she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, she's pissed that he's there. Eventually, though, she learns that he is literally the ULTIMATE cinnamon roll and definitely worth getting to know. This was a wonderful picture of two unique families, chronic kidney conditions, anxiety, trauma, and the power of trust and showing up for someone.
