Well, me and this series go way back. I picked up the first book during a shift at the children's library when a kid returned it (don't judge), and it's been a wild ride since. This book is the sixth (!!) in the series and it follows Sophia (who is a die-hard Mary-Sue) and her large cohort of friends as they try to protect the world and all its species from the Neverseen. Obviously, this book is best for late elementary, early middle school readers-- but it's a seriously fun read sometimes. This book moves the plot along but leaves more questions than answers. We get some closure for Sophia, who had to leave her whole life behind at the beginning of the series; but this book is very much just a filler to get the reader to the last book. That said, I did enjoy it. It's funny, original, and has several twists that make it difficult to put down.
