Divergent by Veronica Roth

NO. How dare she make me wait for a book 2.Warning once you start this title, you will not be able to put it down. Let’s visit Chicago 300 years from now. The giant lakes have become marshes. The population is divided into five factions that have very little do to with each other. At 16 you must decide on the faction you want to live on for the rest of your life. To change factions from which your were born means treason to some people. To make it worse, just because you pick a faction, does not mean you will survive initiation. Enter Beatrice. She was born in Abnegation, the selfless faction. Everything is for the good of others. Beatrice feels unworthy of her faction, and sees her fears come true in her aptitude test where she is labeled Divergent. This is dangerous so she tells no one. On choosing day she selects a different faction and must learn to conquer her greatest fears. While 80% of this book is surviving initiation, it glimpses that society is falling apart. This book keeps you hooked from the start. If you liked Hunger Games you will like this.
