I loved it.

I loved the early formation of the games.

I loved the implementation of the mentors.

I loved the ideas springing up that eventually became standard practice like the betting and the gifts.

I loved that Snow starts out as a sympathetic character and we watch as he gradually devolves into the monster we know him to become.

I love that he became less and less like his mother and more and more like his father.

I loved getting a glimpse behind the curtain into the Muttations.

I loved the Covey.

I loved Lucy Gray.

I’m so curious to reread the trilogy now.

I want to know if Katniss is somehow descended from Lucy Gray and that’s why Snow hates her so specifically.

I loved Dr. Gaul and her manipulation of Snow, making him into her own kind of muttation, animalistic and tapping into the hatred he always had deep down.

I’m sure there’s more I loved about it.

I need to sit back and stew in this for a while. Or possible just pick up The Hunger Games right now.
