What I liked
-combining philosophy and science theories
-the “ghost” aspect is very fascinating that made me think about what haunts us (being deliberately vague because there are so many different ways to interpret the story!)
-exploration of love in its different forms
-the “religious” aspect. As someone who’s not religious, I was worried I wouldn’t get the story fully, but it’s discussed in a way that isn’t limited to Christianity, but more generally like our beliefs or what defined us. Quite beautiful and profound

What didn’t work for me
-the writing style gives it a 19th century vibe when the three timelines are 1997, 2008, and 2017. This was very disorienting for me and I kept wondering why the characters aren’t using technology to solve their problems (like just go on dating apps and find new partners or friends???? You don’t have to obsess over the same person
