It was so refreshing to read a detective who has a loving family and a pretty ordinary home life. However, it soon gets dark. There is so much suspense. At one part I was so scared for a certain character, I could not stop reading. I did work out the twist but wow what a twist. It was such an incredible read and I am going to need more from this author asap. It was gruesome and creepy and everything I look for in a crime thriller.
