After the travesty of Final Girl, it was so nice to read something by Grady Hendrix that felt similar to The Southern Book Club's Guide To Slaying Vampires and My Best Friend's Exorcism. This was so much more creepier than I thought it would be, haunted puppets and dolls? My actual nightmare. And the thing with the needle and the circular saw? That had me hyperventilating, it was so disturbing. The ending had me in tears, grief was portrayed so well here.
