My first thought when I finished it was, "When do we get part two?"

The best way I can describe listening to this on audio is that it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket when he speaks.

I keep seeing people compare Barack Obama's first presidential memoir to Michelle Obama's Becoming, however I don't think they're comparable. Yes they cover roughly the same timeline, but you can't expect the same information.

For reference, this first installment of Obama's presidential memoirs covers his life from childhood to the point in his presidency when Osama Bin Laden was taken down by SEALs. I found the whole novel fascinating. I don't think it was too long, in fact I think it was the perfect length.

You cannot expect someone to put information from: childhood, college, early adulthood, state senatorship, US senatorship, and presidency into a smaller book. I cannot wait to read the second installment to learn more about President Obama.

I recommend this to anyone looking for an excellent president memoir or to anyone that is missing Obama and the time when he was in office. I dare you to try not to cry at least once.
