Carry On is a very easy and fun read. It is pretty similar to Harry Potter but maybe the similarities were more obvious to me because I read it right after watching the HP movies. The concept of the magic was super interesting and fun, I liked that they didn't have to use a wand. Of course, we love a queer love story but Simon's feelings for Baz seemed to come on so suddenly, which was cute so we're not gonna argue with it too much. I really did not like Agatha, happy she's living her best life away from everyone at the end of the book. She just seems so ungrateful. I would have liked to hear more from Lucy's perspective, what happened to her was pretty messed up.

I feel like what Simon did at the end should have closed the holes in the magic because what was the point of pouring his power into the Humdrum if it didn't close the holes? I don't know.
