A marriage in trouble, a holiday apart and a landline that connects to the past. ⁣

This is a slower moving story but it worked well for me on audio. I was intrigued by the premise of a magical, time-traveling phone connected to the past. ⁣

Georgie has lost sight of what’s important in her life. When she is separated from her husband and daughters during the holiday season, all she has to connect with them is phone calls. This is where her old landline telephone comes into play. When she calls her husband from the landline, she reaches him, but 15 years earlier. As Georgie talks to this past version of Neal she remembers how they met and fell in love and begins to see her life and their relationship differently. ⁣

This one definitely has a It’s a Wonderful Life vibe. I enjoyed the magical telephone element and was left pleased with the grand gesture ending which felt fitting. ⁣
