The overall storyline for this book was good and the characters were people you could grow attachments to throughout the book. However I felt the storytelling could be a bit disjointed at times. The timeline was tough to follow, it felt like the book took place over the matter of about 2 weeks but in reality I think it was much longer than that. The shorter feel of it made the deep connection tough for me between the two main characters.
And, like always for me in romance books, the complete lack of communication drove me up a wall …. I get it that there would be no story without the miscommunication sometimes but it still drives me nuts.
I also don’t really know where the next book is going as this one seems to have been wrapped up pretty nicely… so that will be interesting to see.
I definitely saw improvement in the writing as the story went on though so I’ll be interested to see how the second book is.
