Cryptids, Creatures & Critters: A Manual of Monster Mythos
by Rachel Quinney
Honestly, this book is just a fun time. I loved how it was split into three sections (cryptid, folklore, mythology) and acknowledge and pointed out white washed/colonized information. I was lucky enough to stumble across this on Etsy, and so happy I spent the money on it!
It gives a quick summary of the different creatures, allowing you to explore deeper and do your own research if so inclined.
