A delight of a book that lives up to the hype, as well as all of the awards its won. Beautifully written, introspective and emotional, with fairly believable (if mature and thoughtful beyond their years) teenage voices. Captures the intensity of being a teenager, and that mad scramble of emotions, perfectly. Loved every second of it, both for the charming love story and the gentle reflection on family, identity, and culture.
