Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson
5.0

Words of Radiance takes place right after The Way of Kings. I’m not going to go into detail about what this book is about because it will spoil what happened in The Way of Kings.
This book was just a chef’s kiss. Even though I’ve only read two out of the four books, I’m just in love with this series, obsessed, and it’s now my favorite book series. I cannot stop thinking about these characters. I love that these characters have mental health issues and have to find ways to overcome them. Sometimes it gets them in trouble because they aren’t really coping with it. I love Kaladin with his broody, selfish self. Shallan is becoming badass and starting to learn how to be and to be more assertive. These characters are flawed and it makes them seem very human and real. These books are just layered and it’s amazing. There is conflict within themselves and with the Parshendi. The characters learning about their magic is great too. The world building is just getting better and better. There was a lot of oh crap moments that made me want to continue reading on. You guys really have to read this series! I can’t wait to read the novella and Oathbringer!
