paddlefoot55 's review for:
Midnight Ride
by Cat Johnson
ARC received for an honest review
This is not my first Cat Johnson book, but it is the first cowboy book of hers I have read. Cowboys... SEALs.... both hot, so I had a bit of an idea what to expect with Midnight Ride.
And I was not disappointed!
I really liked Midnight Ride. Being that side of 40, I am getting to the stage where I get a bit sick of all the characters in my books being early 20's. But oy, Bianca!! You would have had a problem if Tyler was after me???? I know I wouldn't have lol
You could feel the spark the second Janie and Tyler meet. And LOVED the circumstances of how they met, very funny!
I couldn't blame Janie for ogling Tyler, thinking about Tyler, dreaming about Tyler. What woman with a pulse wouldn't be?
I could understand Janie's hesitation to get involved with Tyler - recently widowed, the age difference. But I wanted to shake some sense into her, Tyler did nothing but show her how he wants her and she kept pushing him away. Silly woman!! Welcome to Cougar Town lady!
So, are their feelings enough to keep them together? Or will the age difference be too much for Janie to take a chance/
Nope, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.
I live in a country town, farming district, and I have to say - I need some of these cowboys to drop in!
I loved the secondary characters, Rohn, Colton and Justin on the farm, Janie's best friend Rene - heck, I think I love her the best lol. We need more of her in the next books - even though they are not about Janie and Tyler.
This was a sweet, pretty angst free, fun romance - with healthy dose of hunky cowboys!
I am looking forward to the next two in the series.
