Really adored this middle-grade book about an aspiring witch and her journey to prove herself worthy. Very much a fun, bright enjoyable book, it has shades of Kiki's Delivery Service, The Worst Witch books, and Harry Potter throughout, and the fact it works well as a one-off and as the first part of a series/duology/trilogy is a delight - I can't wait to read the next installment.
