This was an okay book, a super fast read.
But fast was everything to this book. Everything happened so fast, and felt super rushed.
I feel like we dove straight into the story and didn’t really get any background into Mickey. It was sort of explained as it went on, but I feel like if the time had been taken to breathe, it would’ve been better.
There were huge jumps in time and info dumps and I was more than disappointed we saw nothing happen between Christmas and June, when arguably we could’ve seen the most growth.
I loved the mental health aspect of this book and the diversity, but Mickey’s depression never felt like we got “closure” or saw the affects of his medication and therapy.
I wanted to love this book, and looked forward to reading it, unfortunately it was a let down for me.
