Serenade of Kings
by Christine E. Schulze
adventurous
emotional
medium-paced
This is the second book in The Gailean Quartet and acts as a prequel to the first book, Prelude of Fire.
I loved getting to see how Ragnar became the evil villain he was in PoF! The pacing was a little slower, but the world building and character development was still top notch. There's drama, power struggles, politics, romance and mystery.
Like PoF, I got SUPER invested in every character, no matter how big or small. Even though this is technically the second book in the series, I would of loved to read this one before Prelude of Fire. It would ruin one of the twists in PoF, but I'm okay with that.
Id definitely recommend these books to anyone looking for a unique, epic, and creative fantasy! I can't wait for the next book❤️🔥
